    O2 broadband discount

    Hi

I'm currently paying £45 a month for an iphone 3gs and I'm wondering if taking out 02 broadband will result in any discounts? All other packages for broadband seem to require, phone/line rental and some tv which knocks the price right up and already paying £45 a month for mobile I don't really want to be paying another £30 a month on top of that. I live on my own and this would be rather excessive. Cheers!

    Re: O2 broadband discount

If you don't have a landline, my opinion is that it's not worth getting one just for broadband (although if you shop around you can get it installed for less than BT charge) unless you wanted to use it for other services. There are plenty of mobile broadband options (£15 per month?) but, if signing up for any of these, it's worth ordering by phone or over the internet so that, if the service doesn't meet expectations, you can cancel within 7 days under the distance selling regulations.

    Hi Anth,

I'm with O2 for broadband. You do get a discount if you're already an O2 customer (£2 or something a month) but unfortunately i wasn't.

The prices are good as well. I got a 17mb line for £15 a month. I've checked the speed and it is indeed 17mb. If you don't particularly need broadband i wouldn't recommend getting it as you do still have to pay a £10 a month ransom to BT for the line rental.

Having said that, the service i've received so far from O2 has been great, and i couldn't recommend them highly enough.

    Re: O2 broadband discount

Joined O2 BB for a friend at £12+ per month. Took out Simplicity sim only for approx £10 per month then got immediate £5 discount on BB to £7:34, a saving of £5. This is stated clearly on the website and you can use the freefone number to set up the Simplicity contract.

Please do not embarrass yourself by telling me that O2 )or me quoting O2) is talking rubbish in a reply.

Oh by the way did you take the trouble to click on the link I put in?
