    londongirl:

Without reading your whole policy and schedule this is difficult to answer.

Having briefly looked at the Columbus policy wording it excludes medical expenses in the UK, as you have provision under the NHS.

If you had to stay in hospital in the UK for more than 24 hours, there may be cover for a small amount under additional hospital benefit as shown on your policy schedule.

As for the rude lady, she should not be working on such a helpline. She should know that Home Insurance does not cover any health issues, only your personal possessions. If ever you come across anyone like this in the future, ask to speak to a supervisor and make a complaint. Think of all the other people she offers her help(?) to.

Travel bug develops when back in UK

Does anyone know if a travel bug that I took overseas and developed when returning to UK some 30 hours later is covered by a annual travel insurance or is covered by a different kind of insurance? I bought my insurance with Columbus direct via this website back in February, but when speaking with their Claims Dept, a very rude lady said a claim can be made via a Home insurance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????
