    Re: LLoyds - Advice Required

    Thanks for the information Jalexa,

Just to let you know today Lloyds called, they have apoloigized and reinstated all interest.

Was also given direct line to Lloyds phone bank complaints department...perhaps for next time.

Reference to Will you be back to the UK in the near future, NO, enjoying the sun in summer and the snow in winter.

    Again thanks for initial information.

    roy1970:

Is it Legal from them to take money from any of my accounts?

Can I claim calls made (currently in Italy dialing 0845 number)?

Can I insist on the interest being made to my Incentive saver?

You are entitled to be put back into the position you would have been had Lloyds not incorrectly excecuted your instruction (assuming that is the case). Not finger pointing but that is why these calls are recorded. Plus a Distress & Inconvenience payment if you insist.

So, interest for the month reinstated or sufficiently compensated. Your call charges refunded except possibly part of the initial call (however 10 minutes is excessive and possibly indicates a competency issue). Maybe the same issue which has failed to register the complaint.

A D&I payment (if you ask and insist).

Of course you need to get your complaint (and claim) lodged. Will you be back in the UK in the near future?

If you are not happy 8 weeks after first raising the complaint you can take the issue to the Financial Ombudsman Service. It will cost you nothing but Lloyds will have to pay a hefty case fee (around £450).

I think it is likely Lloyds will pay up (if you ask and insist).

    LLoyds - Advice Required

    Hi, after some advice.

I have a lloyds Vantage+ account, with Savings Account, ISA and Incentive all accesable via internet banking.

On the 15 September I called Lloyds to make a transfer from my current account to an account in Switzerland (Speeding Fine).

After 10 minutes on the phone the lady said money transfered ok.

The next day I logged onto my account to find that the money had been taken from my Incentive Saver account, I called to inform them this, the lady transfered funds from my current back to my Incentive, then said the account will not receive interest this month due to the debit. I complained and the lady raised a complaint and said they would call me in 72Hours. She did give me a number, but yes I have lost it....

Well I received no response as of today (25/09/2009) so I called them to be told there is no complaint on my account and must be with International money transfers, was then transfered to them to be told there is nothing showing on my account. I then asked them to call me back today and at present have received no call.

I would like to ask the following:

Is it Legal from them to take money from any of my accounts?

Can I claim calls made (currently in Italy dialing 0845 number)?

Can I insist on the interest being made to my Incentive saver?

What should I do next, I have been banking with them for over 20 years, and have always had excellent credit history. (During call the lady told me I was eligible for a loan and was I interested, I did decline).

    Many Thanks for assisstance.
