    Re: Which phone??

Well to be honest, they're both so similar in terms of ease of use and slickness of interface that it's hard to make a case for either really. The iphone is definitely a little "slicker" in it's look and feel. However, with Android you're not subject to Apple's whimsy in terms of how your phone looks and what you can do with it.

As for the "There's an App for that" adverts, they lie. Just about every app you can get on the iphone store you can also get on the android market, usually for free.

i'd say really it's about personal taste, have a look but if you prefer the iphone's interface i'd stick with it really.

The g2 is meant to be a stupidly good phone for the android OS to work on so i'd go into a T-Mob shop and have a looksy ;o)

    Re: Which phone??

hahahaha! I'm sure you aren't, mrstella. I know exactly what you mean. How does it compare to the iPhone? Given a choice - which would you go with?

I'll definitely be taking a closer look at the G2 Android when my contract is up next year. As long as I can keep up-to-date with the latest with the community goings-on and the interface/usability is up to snuff, I'll be happy...

    Re: Which phone??

    Hi Graeme,

I really like the G1, although I wished i'd held out for the G2, just to have a faster, slimmer Android phone. However, the interface is excellent, much like the iPhone the internet surfing capabilities are great. The only thing it can't do is exchange (pick up my work emails) which i'm not too heartbroken about ;o)

    Re: Which phone??

    Thanks mrstella0. What's the G1 like?

You're right - Choosing a phone is largely determined by what you want to use it for. The reason I chose the iPhone was because of it's excellent internet surfing capabilities.

Denise - How do you mostly use your phone? Texting? Talking? Data? Are there any particular features of one phone that are more appealing/useful than the other?

    Re: Which phone??

Sorry, using a G1, which I also really like. don't know anything about the Nokia Navigator or Samsung s5600. However, might help if Denise told us what she actually needs her phone to do?

    Re: Which phone??

    Hi,

C'mon people! Someone out there must have a Nokia Navigator or a Samsung S5600! What are they like? ;o)

What advice can you give DeniseG1962? I'd love to help out and comment but I went for the Apple iPhone last year - which I reallly like. The downside of that is the cost of an upgrade (Grrr @ O2!).

    Which phone??

Can anyone help - I'm upgrading my work phone shortly and have the choice between the Nokia Navigator or the Samsung S5600 touch phone . My brother says the samsung is better, but he hates Nokia's - a lot of people at work seem to have gone for the Nokia Nav. (which I guess says it all), but I quite like the look of the samsung, so need some advice - basically I'm rubbish at chosing the right phone!

    thanks
