    upthe:

The only way is to contact the Halifax and ask them if they will remove. They could refuse and make you wait until the 6 year statute barred period comes up.

    credit record default

Hi I have a default on my credit record for £300 (which has been paid) from the halifax, this is causing no end of problems as i am trying to get a mortgage at the moment, (we own the house without mortage) is there anyway of getting the default removed? or taken into account by the banks offering mortgages? the amount we are asking for is less than 10% value of the house.

any help would be most welcome
