Re: Car insurance while not owning a car

    MrCosine:

If there were, I think they would be called joyriders.com or twoc.com.

The only types of cover I can think of would be short-term policies (do a google eg. dayinsure), available up to 28 days, where you are borrowing a car temporarily. Under those you do not have to the registered owner and keeper. Also if you worked in the motor trade, there are probably policies available.

Car insurance while not owning a car

    Hi,

My car's engine recently blew up, so the car was scrapped and I cancelled my policy, and I am now a named driver on my father's van.

I've been looking around for a company that will insure me to drive any car without actually owning one, but have yet to find one. Does anyone know of such a company?

    Cheers.
