    Re: secured loan/re-mortgage

If she did actually manage to get a debt consolidation loan, the chances are the interest would be even higher than she is currently struggling to pay.

She needs to shop around or to see a independent mortgage broker to discuss her chances of re-mortgaging on better terms and rates if possible.

hi conman killer, thanks for your reply, she has tried cab, they couldn't help, the loan is secured against her home, which she did not want to sell if she could help it,are there any debt management companies that take on a secured loan, they all only seem to be able to help if its un-secured.thanks

    Re: secured loan/re-mortgage

She could approach the free charitable organisations such as the CAB, CCCS or the national debt helpline for some professional advice and help to restructure her payments, so she can afford them.

Failing that she could always sell the security that she has put up for the secured loan...(realise the asset) and bring an end to what she is struggling to pay monthly, hence clearing the loan that she is struggling to meet the interest payments on.
