i can't believe what ive been reading in the last few days about sky broadband. i too have had an awful experience and appaling technical support and customer service. i initally had sky installed on the 3rd feb and have spent so much money phoning sky to get broadband working. for most of the time its been slower than dial up or never worked at all. i have written several letters to their head office, numerous emails and spent goodness knows what on phonecalls. why is nobody doing anything about this service provider and others. i know im not alone, but they are supposed to be providing us with a service for our monthly payments, surely thats a breach of contract. sky said about a month ago that the reason why broadband wasnt workng was because of my computer, so i had an IT consultany strip it down and rebuild it and there wasnt anthing wrong with my computer, it was a problem with an external problem!!! i have written to watchdog and my next step is to contact Oftel - office for telecommunications onbudsman for them to see if they will deal with my complaint. i was on the phone last night for 3 hours to technical support and after a 2 1/2 hour conversation the agent said i had a problem. they are so incompetent i cant believe it, its madding!!!! HELP is all i can say. i have wasted so much time, money and energy since getting broadband i wish i hadnt bothered. if anyone can form a support group or can feed in to the CE of sky to get a response i am up for getting involved,.
