If you do a google for gadget insurance, there is a company gadget cover, that can provide cover for Laptops etc on a worldwide basis.

If you have any form of business Insurance, you could also approach yout current insurer, who might be able to offer additional cover.

I'm moving to Barcelona at the end of this month for approx 6 months to a year and need to take my Macbook Pro with me.
I'd like to insure my laptop for this period as rely on it for my Graphic Design work. Do you happen to know any companies that specialise in this area—ie. insuring something for that long abroad, and if so who they are/how much it might cost!
