    Re: prepay meter

Hi, firstly, not all of the companies will be able to install a meter, as it depends on who hold the license to manage or "own" the meters in that region, it's best to phone around.

However, if you really want the best deal for your tenants then Prepay meters are not the way to go. Prepay meters are always more expensive than normal meters in terms of standing charges and electricity rates.

    prepay meter

I need to get a prepay meter installed in a house that I let out, so that the tennants can keep on top of the gas and electricity bills.

The current supplier would charge me approx £80 to install both of the meters. However, I'm not sure they will offer the best deal. How would I find out who would be the most competative supplier for both installing the meters and then the ongoing enrgy costs? I don't want my tennants to be paying over the odds for their energy.

    Thanks
