If you have closed the account and its settled per their notification of CRAs then i think they would likely need to re-search your profile and score you again to re-open it. Unless it was an account with a great rate or O/D limit or something, you'd be better off getting a new account with (possibly) better offers.

If you mean dormant then i would deffer to what twee said which seems to be from experience and sounds pretty reasonable to me.

I assume you are talking about "Dormant Account" - one that has been unused for a while ?

You need to use http://www.mylostaccount.org.uk/ - and when they refuse to accept that they owe you money - as happened to me (Woolwich account - unused 9 years) - you need to use the ombudsman (http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/) - who will kick some butt and get you your money back - with compensation.....

I believe it is possible, but you would need to ask the company concerned. There may be time limits on this and they may only do this in certain situations.
