How easy it will to take this forward would depend on what evidence you can provide to support your case.

Do you have legal expenses cover with your Home Insurance policy? If so does this provide any cover for legal fees to take this forward?

You could approach a no win no fee company. Do some research for a decent company, by looking for as many online reviews as you can find.

Before you go down the legal route, you may wish to consider writing to Tesco's Chief Executive with full details and see whether they are willing to make a larger ex-gratia payment without admitting liability. Before writing you should find out about Tesco's health and Safety responsibilities to you. Does your local authority have a helpline regarding such issues?

    Tesco's Power Washer Cut me?

I recently used a Tesco’s power washer to which was faulty and had wires coming from it to which I cut the top ends of my fingers.

I only discovered this when I picked up the power washer to use it and it cut into my two fingers on my left hand causing me pain discomfort and they started to bleed.

I entered the store to inform them of this and they were really unhelpful and gave me no first aid as they said they could not so I did it my self with their first aid equipment on site.

It then took 40 minutes to complete an accident & incident report form as the store in question never had one on site it was across the road at the other store.

They eventually shut down the power spray equipment after seeing it was faulty and unsafe and told me they were sorry.

The made me an hour late for my family dinner, they were also not very sympathetic to the fact I had cut two fingers which stopped me writing for 3 days as my job is an NVQ assessor and I need my left hand to write reports and to complete paper work, it also caused me lost of discomfort and I had to keep it clean to avoid infection.

I still now have some small scaring to the fingers since it happened.

Tesco’s offered me £20 and said sorry, should I peruse this more as I never done this complaint stuff before but I’m really not happy with the way I was treated.
