    Black Horse - Ucc

    Hi

Today I applied for a Loan, from Moneysupermarket.com and went for Black Horse. I have now been receiving emails from UCC, that my application is provisionally booked.

As I didn't apply through UCC, can you explain how they have my details? Are they part of Black Horse?

    Thanks

    Christina

From what I have read UCC have nothing to do with Black Horse. They obtain information via the search you made on this site and try to get you to use them instead. Just ignore them.

I will leave it up to the Moneysupermarket people to answer how UCC get hold of details you supplied through this site.

    Re: Black Horse - Ucc

Thank you for comments in regards to Blackhorse Loans.

Blackhorse currently process their applications in two ways:

    Secured Loans

If the loan you have applied for is a secured loan, i.e secured on your property, the initial applications are processed by moneysupermarket.com before being passed to your local branch. If you believe the application was for a secured loan the number you need is 0844 482 3555.

    Unsecured Personal Loans

If the loan you have applied for is an unsecured loan the initial application is handled on behalf of Blackhorse by UCC (the Unsecured Credit Company). Should you believe the loan you have applied for is unsecured they can be contacted on 01252 555 000.

The reason that Blackhorse use UCC to “screen” applications is simply to try to ensure that, if the Blackhorse application fails, a loan is always offered to the customer.

This process is an agreement, for unsecured applications, is a process agreed between Blackhorse and UCC. It may not always be the Blackhorse loan that gets offered, but it should be an offer based on the applicant’s credit status.

I hope this answers your question.

Would it not be helpful if Moneysupermarket noted on the relevant screen, that if Blackhorse was selected as an unsecured loan provider, that UCC would be used to screen the application. This may be in the small print and if so perhaps this should be made more prominent. There have been people whinging on other forums online about UCC and Moneysupermarket due to this issue.

There should also be a warning that if Blackhorse were unable to provide the loan, that UCC would consider the application and may offer a loan through UCC for consideration. This should be followed by some wording to make it clear to the customer that they do not have to accept any loan offered by UCC and that they should compare the terms with any loans offered elsewhere.

My suggestion may be covered by the information on the relevant screens but perhaps this should be reviewed, so that customers are given information in the clearest way possible.

    Re: Black Horse - Ucc

Well I believe this is a complete con, I have dealt with with Ucc before and would never deal with them again!

I trusted moneysupermarket and assumed that I was using Black Horse alone, I do not appreciate any of my details being passed to a broker, who will try and sell me a loan with loan shark interest rates.

I would will now be making a complaint to the moneysupermarket and Black Horse, for advertising total misleading information.
