Angry [:@] Re: KwikFit Insurance Services nuisnace phone calls

I've been registered with TPS for at lesat a year. Some companies it seems are simply ignoring it and fobbing me off with excuses when I do actually speak to someone. My closing line when I'm really hacked off with them is generally along the lines of, "If you seriously expect me to believe that b/s, you must think I was born yesterday. I would be very grateful if you made no further attempts at insulting my intelligence, and to stop phoning me up." then hanging up.

This, thankfully, is not common but it is very annoying when it happens.

    Hi

I now only get a few calls, now and again, mainly from India or British Gas asking me to come back.

    when did you leave India?

Don't normally respond to an obvious rant, but there is a serious issue.

The best way to reduce the occurrence of telmarketing calls is to register you number with the Telephone Preference Service. There are additional requirements concerning the time that must elapse between "silent calls" resulting from poorly configured "predictive dialling" systems.

    Investigate and take action.

    Hi

I would suggest that you register with the TPS http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/tps/

You will find that after about 3 weeks marketing calls from most companies will stop. After registering I now only get a few calls, now and again, mainly from India or British Gas asking me to come back.

KwikFit Insurance Services nuisnace phone calls

Thought I'd spread the word on this. The one insurance company I would NEVER do business with is Kwik Fit Insurance Services, because of their persistent telemarketing. Along with many other people, I've had numerous phone calls (blank answermachine messages and no one there when you pick the phone up) from these nutters. Just had a call from them this morning. I threatened to call crimestoppers if they even DARED call me again and I explained to them why (misuse of the telecommunications system etc.).
