I am looking to cover myself (34yo), my wife (34yo) and my baby (3 month old) for a one way trip to australia. We are travelling to australia in september, to live.
We depart UK 1st september, and have booked flights to the greek islands, where we are going to stay for 1 month, possible 2 months, and this is the only flight we have booked. We intend to land in australia 3 months later, however at this stage we dont know which countries we will visit, besides greece of course, and we have not booked any other flights, as we don't know exactly what we are doing. Most likely though our itinerary will be London- Greek Islands (flight), ferry to athens, flight to Italy, Italy 2 weeks, back to London, fly London to Australia, with a stop off in Asia somewhere, eg Hong Kong or Bangkok for a few nights.
Basically we want to be covered for cancellation of flights (even though we havent booked them yet), baggage/ posessions etc, medical etc for 3 months. We will not be returning to the UK in the forseeable future. We have nbo pre-existing medical condiotions or anything like that.
The compare tool only seems to put up fairly expensive backpacker policies, with possessions/baggage cover max £750. As we are travelling with laptops, cameras, etc we require greater cover than this for baggage. We are not really backpacking but require extended insurance.
any help would be great.
