Re: When is an unsecured loan not an unsecured loan?

    Hello Sparky,

Thanks for your comments - it's good to know people are reading to the end :)

I do see your point, however, I really wanted to flag up the secured and unsecured deals on offer, in order to illustrate the earlier points.

Furthermore, people looking for loan advice will usually want to also hear the latest loan information - whether they then choose to apply or not.

Thanks for commenting. Although charging orders are pretty rare just now, it seems probable that we will hear more and more about them. Hats off to CAB, conmankiller and anyone else publicising this issue.

    Have a good weekend,

    Felicity

Re: When is an unsecured loan not an unsecured loan?

I think it is very important to raise the profile of this charging of unsecured debt against your home, as conmankiller also explained in a recent thread (http://www.moneysupermarket.com/community/forums/post/1st-credit-threatening-bankruptcy-157078.aspx)

However I think the first part of the article would be better served without the inclusion of the latest deals, and these could be covered by a separate article, linking to the warnings about the practice of DCAs apply for charging orders against property.

    Sparky.
