Stay well clear of the firm you mention and the other name.!!

Instead I suggest contacting the federation of engine manufacturers who can supply a list of all reputable members in your area and even suggest a member who is more experienced with German engines i.e. specialises more towards Audi, BMW & Merc etc.

The main thing is do as much research as possible to ascertain past customer feedback or reviews about the firm you intend to use, get detailed written agreements of exactly what they are to do all itemised and priced clearly and correctly. Also very importantly a written guarantee stating the length and mileage of the warranty....when finally finished pay for the work by credit card, so you have the valuable free protection of the CC act, in case things do go wrong.!

So "engine centre" are the same company as "heathrow engine centre" ? I got the feeling they were, hence not bothered with them.

Will check the federation link you sent and see what it turns up, much appreicated.

If you want a, "proper" job, go to a, "proper" reputable firm. !

Otherwise you could be left with a handful of ball bearings, and strangely. no-one has any idea of where these came from as they hand them back to you....whilst reassuringly shrugging their shoulders. !!
