Car Insurance for Australian Driving License holder

    Hi

I'm looking to add my daughter and her husband as additional drivers to my car insurance, but my present insurers won't add someone with an Australian driving license.

My daughter is british and holds a UK license, which is no problem they will add her as an additional driver, my problem is her husband who's Australian and he holds an Australian driving licence.

Can anyone point me to a company that I can switch my insurance to, and be able to add the two additional drivers.

    Thanks

You should enquire about how an international driving licence would be viewed by the current insurer. Another option to consider, depending on the length of stay, is to exchange the Australian licence for a UK one.

There may be companies who will recognise an Australian licence but all I can suggest is a few phone calls to brokers to assess the situation. If one wont accept it, they might know another who might.
