You could have a savings account and a current account with the same bank, so that you can easily transfer money between them but any interest that you earn wont make a massive difference to the total.

My boyfriend and I have just got engaged. The wedding is going to be expensive, and I am not sure how to plan our savings. We will be depositing about £1500 per month, but as the wedding date approaches we will need to be able to make payments easily - I am thinking a chequing account would be best.

Any advise to help us safe for our wedding?
