    Does anyone know a site where I can update my Tom Tom for free ?

    I have tried www.tomtom.com and because my device is (just) over 12 months old - they want £31.80 for map updates and £20 for camera locations - which I resent paying .....

    After all - when you buy something - you don't expect to have to pay to update it so soon .....

    You can get map share for nothing if your map supports it, switch on your machine and then browse to the map share facility. If you tap on it it will tell you if your map supports it.

    If it does then connect to Tom-tom home and download the mapshare updates, it's cheaper than buying new maps, mapshare is an updated scheme which has been added to by other Tom-tom users...... hence why its free.!
