    Re: Loan for car finance

If you have tried more than once and with a subprime, I would give up... reason why is you don't want too many searches on your name... finance companies CAN frown upon this.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.... I wouldn't reccommend Welcome, etc they are scummy unless you are desperate.... but be prepared to keep the car for full term and know you are payiing WAY over the odds.

    Cheers

Hey thanks for that, will try them out, i have tried most companies, even some subprime and still getting rejected. It is so annoying that what happened years ago before i was working is affecting me now.

    Thanks.

Try a company called Southern Finance they deal with subprime...... people with some finance difficulties.... a friend bought a car from Swindon Jaguar an SLK for £7500 and was accepted... they used a subprime lender....

I believe you will have a chance.... I know people with worse records that have been accepted...

Main thing is to make sure you give the last 3 years residence and that you were found on the electoral role... this is one of the major searches they do... after this they may look further into your credit history.... however with a 4k deposit on a secured loan to a car their risk is pretty small... you should be fine.

    Loan for car finance

    Hi Guys,

When i was in uni, i got into some difficulties, and managed to default on 5 loans/credit cards. All of the balances have been satisfied 4 years ago, but they are still showing on my credit report.

I am now looking to purchase a car via a dealer which provides finance from Blackhorse. the car is approx £10k, and i am able to put down a £4k deposit towards it.

I am in a good secure job earning 18k a year.

A few days ago on the smart search on here, Blackhorse unsecured finance came up as a result, and thier conditions of applying was earning over £900 a month, and no defaults of over 1k in the last year. I cant seam to find this anymore on the site.

I was just wondering is it worth going to the dealer and trying to get the finance, or should i forget even trying to get finance till my defaults are off my credit history.

    Thanks for your opinions!.
