My girlfriend signed up for an AOL broadband account with free laptop 12 months ago.
The contract is 24 months, so just about half way through. It's about £35 a month, excluding BT line rental, so not cheap.
We moved home at the start of April this year, and even though we informed AOL of our new details before the move, they have failed to provide any broadband service for the last 11 weeks, and inform me it shall be another 2 weeks before we are connected !!
As AOL have failed to provide a reasonable service for an extended period, am I within my rights to cancel my contract without further charge?
All I can find in my terms and conditions is how to cancel my contract by paying a further £420 !!
Any legal or contractual advice most welcome.
