    Re: I've been under charged

In that case jon - stand your ground and insist that a legally binding contract has been formed. Unless they fully honour it, you would complain to the local trading standards and seek financial compensation from Dreams, if you had to buy the same specification bed at a higher price from an alternative retailer.

    Re: I've been under charged

If it's concluded then it's legally binding and the deal has been done, but don't forget the finance people have to sign to accept the deal....have they actually signed, it is the weekend.? !

If on the contrary the deal has gone through, then they must supply at the agreed price, or they would be at risk of contract breach. That being the case you could buy the same bed elsewhere and seek the difference in price from Dreams, if they were to refuse to honour and supply at the contracted price.

    Re: I've been under charged

Thanks for the reply, as far as I am concerned the credit agrrement has been concluded, I have a signed agreement by the finace company, myself & drems themselves.

I don't have the bed yet, which put's me in a difficult position.

    Re: I've been under charged

I disagree on this one Max - The reason being that the finance deal may not yet have been concluded at the finance company side. Until a three way finance deal is accepted on goods by all parties that was dependant on finance being obtained to conclude the purchase, then nothing is yet legally binding....unlike a cash deal.

The buyer does however have the right to back out of the deal though, without penalty if not happy, because of the unexpectedly higher misrepresented price....complaint of which should be directed towards trading standards.

    Re: I've been under charged

Yes, they should stand by what was offered to and accepted by you. If you already have the bed and copies of the finance details, you will be in a strong position.

If the bed hasn't been delivered yet, your position will not be so strong and you may be faced with the choice of asking for a full refund and cancellation of the agreement or legal action (or paying £199).

    I've been under charged

I purchased a new bed this morning from Dreams, I thought I got myself a good deal & took out the interest free finance, I signed all the documents & left the store, however I have just had a phone call to say they have under charged me £199. Have I got any rights to say not my fault?
