    Audi A4: Removing Front Grille

    hi all

ive got an audi a4 2003 "52" plate and am having probs opening the bonnet. the catch inside the car pops the bonnet but the secondary catch which should release by pulling the tab in the grille is not releasing. ive tried sqeezing my hand under the gap between the bottom of the grille and the bumper, tying string round the catch, hooking the catch with an old wire coathanger etc but im getting no-where. does anyone know if its possible to remove the grille without opening the bonnet and without damaging it. if so could someone point me the direction of instructions?

    best regards

    L

Lewis - Place the words, "Audi A4 bonnet stuck" into Google, you will find it's a common problem with Audi, there are guys on the Honestjohn site and the Audi forums who describe in detail how to sort the problem with some perseverance.

It also looks like you need the bonnet open first in order to get at the fasteners & take out the grill according to this article with pics.
