Have you tried your local Housing Association as they often have low cost schemes for local tenants which can sometimes be paid along with your rent. (The government encouraged this a few years ago as they want Home Insurance to be accessible to all everyone)

I suggest ringing or going to see your local Insurance Broker. They may be able to help if you're looking to pay cash. As for paying by instalments, would say you'd only get 30 or maybe 60 days pay in full, due to their credit terms with insurers.

Home Insurance with no bank account

    Hi,

does anyone know of, or have experience with, getting some home insurance whilst not having a bank account? I need some basic cover for my home contents which I would pay for monthly with cash at a post office or paypoint etc.

    thanks in advance :)
