Re: Just transferred my line to BT
Just have what you need... BT option 1 is fine and the cheapest deal. I have been with BT for my broadband for well over a year now, and after one failed attempt to move to Talk Talk.......(NEVER EVER AGAIN), sometimes it is best to stick with what you know. Free and very cheap broadband seem to be advertised everywhere now, the reality of trying to get it is a different story altogether! Good old BT!!

Re: Just transferred my line to BT
Yes, John
I have all my phone calls through BT and Freeola just supply my broadband.
They seem to get along just fine.

Re: Just transferred my line to BT
Cheers hoppingmad,
In the area that I live BT seem to be the best of a bad bunch.
Can I have my phone calls through BT and my Broadband through Freeola or does everything have to go through Freeola?
Thanks
John

Re: Just transferred my line to BT
I was with BTBB for a couple of years and was mostly quite satisfied, though they were sweet when compared to TalkTalk, who seduced me with their advertising about a year ago.
Whatever you do, don't even think of entertaining TalkTalk; I was with them for six months and had usable broadband for a total of nearly one month. It took another month to get away from them. they are unbelieveably bad and they are NOT free.
I now have my phone back with BT and my broadband with Freeola (I used to have a dial-up internet access with them before). They are definitely better than BT and several miles better than TalkTalk. Their helpline is by far the best in my experience.
Hope this helps, good luck!

Re: Just transferred my line to BT
If you read some of the other forums, then the answer would be not to touch BT with a bargepole (not even someone elses).
But then you could say the same for all the other suppliers - I believe all companies will have surpporters & detractors.
My advice would be to use the seach engine on this site and make a judgement based on cost and your own feeling of a company.

Re: Just transferred my line to BT
Personally I have had BTBB for 6 Months and never had a problem at all with it, no doubt you will hear good and bad about all ISP's.I think a lot depends which area you live as to who the best provider for you actually is. I know that there are cheaper providers but reliability is my main concern, so far BT have provided that, so I'm happy unless things change ?

Just transferred my line to BT
I have just transferred my phone line to BT and am considering having my Broadband with them as well. Is this a wise choice?
As a bit of a broadband virgin, it seems to me that there really isn't one outstanding broadband provider. Are BT ok to deal with?
I won't be a heavy broadband user, mainly music downloads, checking my bank account and booking holidays so I assume that BT is the best option.
Any opinions would be a massive help.
Thanks
