    Hi,

What may have happened here is that Flogas have sub-contracted deliveries to Calor in your area. This is a common arrangement within the UK LPG industry, and much more common in Europe. In France for example, all the major LPG suppliers share the same network of storage depots. Many of the delivery tanks do not carry any individual companies logos and perform deliveries on behalf of a number of suppliers.

In the UK, there have been many examples of subcontracting deliveries or sharing storage. For years, Calor based a number of tankers at Flogas' Leeds depot. Extragas subcontract all their deliveries outside of the North West. The oil UK industry is utilises shared storage to a much greater extent.

In theory, this should offer efficiencies which help keep prices down. In reality, the margin is retained by the suppliers.

Sub-contracted deliveries are permitted within your supply agreement with Flogas.

Hi, I'm an interested party - without giving away any personal detail, you wouldn't be able to give me more info about your location would you?

Yes video shows the Calor tanker reversed over our recreation area to the fence that surrounds the tank. then the gas line going into the area and then him taking it away...pretty obvious he's filling it!

Thanks I'll look into contacting Watchdog - fingers crossed. Something needs to be done!!

Flogas - calor actually filling our estate tank - what to do? (have video and phot evidence)

    Hi

Like most Flogas are charging the residents of a small 2 year old estate a very high cost for LPG gas without the option to change supplier. Like most who are dealing with Flogas we're being ripped off.

My last quarter bill was £380 for a sinlge occupency, and of that quarter I was out of the country for 6 weeks. when I go away everything either gets turned off or the the heating down to 12 degrees setting and the water off completely. Surely this is a bit steep to say the least. Over the winter I kept the house much cooler than normal being hyper aware of the cost - ovbiously all the measures didn't save me much money.

BUT...I'm working from home today and about an hour ago watched a CALOR tanker drive onto the estate and fill up our tank!!!!! Yes, I took video and lots of photographs from my upstairs bedroom. What should I do with it because obviously Flogas are getting cheap gas from Calor (who we can't change to unless 80% of occupents sign up) but are actually using them and have added a huge extra for themselves on top.

Any suggestions on what we can do PLEASE? (Watchdog??)

Also how do you test the efficiency of your home, as these new home are supposed to be hyper effiecient (I doubt, with all the problems we've had)

Thanks in advance, Stressed of Cambridgeshire.
