You can normally cover these for a reasonable cost with Norwich Union through a local broker, the policy normally excludes the items when in use.

If you can't include it as an "valuable item" I reckon that you are better spending money on a heafty chain and padlock to secure it to the rafters in the garage, or something similar, with a £10 ceiling alarm too.

Kayak & kitesurf within contents insurance???

Could anyone recommend a home contents insurance policy that will cover my kayak and kitesurf whilst they are stored on my property (not for damage whilst off premises). I had a kayak stolen last year and found out it is excluded from standard sporting goods. Bikes are insured but not the kayak. Any advice - seperate insurance is very expensive!
