Re: High bill and no help from N power

Just a quick addition. I had a new digital meter installed in Nov '07. It currently reads 10721. Now from what I can discover through the beauty of the interwebs this means Ive used 10721 kwh since the thing was installed.

Am I right in thinking this ? that Ive used 10k+ in 18 months ish ?

If thats so the price comparison on this site alone shows me I could be saving over £70 a month on what Im using. Id call nPower and hash it out with them, but no doubt it will be me in the wrong like it always is when I ring up those guys.

And I realise how naughty it is to reply to my own post :)

cancel the dd and go on a paper bill. make sure you take a meter reading. this way you can see how many units you are using each week/ npower are a total rip off on electric. we ended going overdrawn on our account. we used to pay 75.00 for three months . npower started taking out 275.00 pound a quarter. without even telling us. there b......ds . they dont give a monekeys about peoples situtions .

High bill and no help from N power

I live in a 2 bedroom flat with 2 other people. I have gas central heating but my cooker and everthing else is electric. Ive just received a letter from NPower saying they want to increase my electricity bill (DD) to £145 per month. Ive consulted with other people who live in my building and they are paying on average 60-80 pounds.

Is there anyway (Bar having everything on 24/7) that I could end up using this much electricity ?

My only idea is that my computer uses alot (1000 watt PSU and I play on it....a lot :)
