There was indeed a spam advert, which I reported to the moderators. Just couldn't resist answering the spammer!

I think there was a spam advert added to your thead, which Skywalker replied to.

No doubt the moderators will remove posts from skywalker onwards.

    Hello there,

Most of the major insurers that we use will look to postpone any application until after a longer period than you have stated. There is one company however that we have managed to get cover through before in similarly circumstances called Partnership. They deal with what is considered higher risk insurance cases. As I'm sure you can appreciate, although you are fine now, medically you will be deemed to be at a higher risk than someone who had never had the condition.

You will find that the premiums will be inflated to accomodate for the extra risk factor and it would be very difficult to give you even an indicative quote without going through further medical questions. If you need help with this feel free to drop me a message, otherwise you can go through a high risk insurance company direct.

I hope this helps anyway. Adam.

Am a breast cancer survivor - will any life insurance company cover me??

I had a small tumour removed in 2006, followed by radiotherapy. As it was in France, I had the sentinel node investigation, so they were able to pinpoint the relevant nodes, which were found to be completely clear of cancer. I had two years on Tamoxifen and am now on Arimidex for a total of three years.

I am recently separated, so am having an overhaul of my finances. A couple of life policies are reducing term, now not giving much cover at all. I am wanting to take out a policy for £200,000 to give £100,000 to each of my two children, to protect them from the vagaries of the housing market - the only other thing I would have to leave would be a house.

Is ther any company which would consider my application?
