    RTI Insurance

    Andy

I'm buying a newish car currently and the dealers have offered RTI insurance. I'm tempted but can find a policy online for less than half of their price. I'm ready to proceed but I don't recognise any of the insurers' names so am worried that I am buying a piece of paper only. Do you have a recommendation for RTI insurance?

    Ta,

    Oliver

This company has received good remarks in past posts on this forum, give them a try for a quote.

Conmankiller, many thanks for the tip, they are cheaper than the one I found!

Do you know what security exists against them going to the wall? Does "regulated by the FSA" give any protection, I can't see any mention of them being underwritten?

Has anyone on the forum made a claim?

AC -- The FSA as the regulators offer the same protection to all insurance members, which is to either reimburse the unexpired policy premium if no claim has been made, or payout any pending claim if one is in the pipeline when or if disaster strikes.
