i am afraid it is a fact of life, your mother has passed the "average" age of life expectancy and ins. companies just don't like the odds.

    Hi Danny Boy

Have you tried the over 65 section for travel insurance on the moneysupermarket I have just done a quick quotation on there for a 85 year old for a single trip to USA in June for 2 weeks and Planet Earth has come up as £160 on the moneysupermarket website.

    Hope this can help

    Travel Insurance and Ageism???

Hi - its becoming increasingly difficult to get my 85 yr old mother travel insurance for our annual trip to Florida - I have even been qouted £390 for 2 weeks!! - She isnt on any medication and has no ailments whatsover - she`s actually fitter than me , her son !!! -

Does anyone know of any good insurance companies out there who arent blinkered just to her age?

    Most greatfully

    Danny
