    Re: Carcraft

    Hiya Cat and others,

CarCraft are just horrible don't you think?! Surely theres gotta be regulations to stop them!! It plainly obvious that they are ripping people off. In fact GE Money do not even let them execute finance agreements for them as they had so many problems. That's why I got out of my mess as Carcraft could not execute the agreement on site and I was quick enough to stop it the next day, before executed by GE Money.

My friend bought a car from Carcraft and said the after sales is terrible. He wouldnt deal with them again.

    Re: Carcraft

I sent my first letter rejecting the vehicle by fax and post the following morning after it had broken down (which was 12 hours after I got the thing home!!) it had already broken down in the showroom on the day I bought it but the sales guys promised me that they had taken a good look at the vehicle and the problem was fixed......obviously not! And the delay on getting a response from the so called customer service department maybe partly due to the fact that they actually lost my car for 2 days!! So professional.

    Re: Carcraft

Thanks Zainiac! I spoke to the Consumer Advise helpline and they helped me prepare the letters to reject the vehicle and reject the repair. Carcraft still tried to give the car back to me saying everything was fine but I just dont trust them and I dont want the car anymore so I rejected the car again! If they are so confident I dont know why they just dont give me my money back and sell the car again! So now they have both my money and the car and have not tried to contact me once to try to sort this out so I am speaking to a solicitor about the whole thing now as I see no other way of getting through to them! Thanks for your help Zainiac....its nice to hear other people's stories about how bad Carcraft are.  Is there nothing we can do about them?

    Re: Carcraft

Note to anyone selling or part exchanging a car with a motor dealership, be it Carcraft or somebody more reputable.

Never expect to see the garage selling the car for what they've given you for it. There is a trade and a retail value. The retail value is achievable by selling the car to the end user, not to someone who is going to find the end user.

This is how car gargages make their profit so that they can exist, so you have somewhere to buy and px your cars.

You want top dollar? Sell it yourself, privately.

Sabrina, granted £9000 is steep but that's the problem of the next buyer of the car. As long as you got a fair trade price, you can't really grumble.

You gotta tie yourself to the mast my friend, and the storm will end.

    Re: Carcraft

CAR CRAFT ARE CROOKS. They sold us a car on finance and led us to belive that we would be paying back £13500 in total (including interest) at £75 per week. When the paperwork arrived the repayments are £448.00 per month and the total repayment is around £27000. Shocking ey. The paperwork also arrived outside of the 'cool off' period so that we could not cancel. THE SALESMAN NEW EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS DOING at no point were we shown any paperwork with the small print on it we just kept being shown the paperwork with the £75 per week. What sort of commision are these crooks and con men on?

I am looking for fellow CAR CRAFT VICTIMS to help me bring there underhand dealings to the attention of the media. Lets publicly shame these CON ARTISTS, get our money back and help prevent other people being trapped in the same way. Please at lease email BBC's Watchdog with your story, the more people who join the fight the better chance we have of winning our cases.

I have read hundreds of stories written by Car Craft customers in the same boat which only goes to show that this group of thieves must be stopped.
