In November I was called by someone who offered me a new 3 mobile deal along wiith the promise of buying me out of my current contract with Vodafone (due to end May), It was explained to me that I would need to pay the first couple of bills from 3 and then send them the bills - before they would release the payment for Vodafone.
I therefore sent these to them the first week in January by fax/email (which they confirmed receipt). I then called after a few days to be told that everything was in place and acceptable, and everything had been forwarded to the accounts department so I would receive something by the end of that week. The following week I called as nothing had been received - I was told that there was definately nothing wrong with my paperwork, all was in place and accounts would be sending me the payment. As of today (28th) I have received nothing from this company.
I called them today to be advised by their accounts deparment that the directors have issued an instruction that due to the current climate recession, they are not issuing any cheques to anyone unless they have paid 6 months worth of bills ! This now means I have 2 mobiles, one Im not using because I don't want to carry around 2 phones, and my original one which is hence costing me a fortune in rentals & insurance and was something I wasn't expecting to have to do until May when Vodafone will release me !
I am so annoyed that they can get away with this !! I asked to speak to someone in charge and was told by Gemma that she was the only one I could talk to. The directors would only accept any complaints in writing. I have therefore been advised to write to the directors to ask for my cancellation fee to be paid now, but it didn't sound very positive.
Any advice would be appreciated please what I can do? Thanks..
