Service History Forgery??? Advice Needed for First Time Driver

I am enquiring whether anyone could possibly point me in the right direction? I purchaed a car back in May 2008 and I asked the dealer whether the car came with full servie history and was told "yes, but we only got the car on Thursday (it was the following Saturday) and the person we brought it off still needs to drop in the service history". I agreed to return the following weekend which I did. To cut a long story short, it took just over 3 months to obtain the service history. When I eventualy obtained it in mid-August, it only had 2 stamps in it, both from the dealership I purchased the service history from, not even manfacturer stamps. The dates on the first stamp had been incorrectly added and were written over again and the vehicle identification number had been edited. Basically, the so called FSE is a blatent forgery from a second hand dealership in south London with over 40 years history in the same place. I feel robbed and because it is my first car (a 2003 ford focus ghia) I wasn't aware how much of an impact that the service history of a car affects the price; hence I feel as though I have been robbed and have only relised this today after the dealer told me; "the previous owner was an engineer and serviced the car himself, there is not problem with the car if there ever is, then bring it back and we'll sort it". I did have problems (and still do) with the suspension but after three times of taking the car back, a problem could not be found.

Any help, info, advice or time you could give will be greatly appreciated as I am now left with a car which I was sold totally unfairly due to my lack of purchasing knowledge as a new driver who had just passed their test when I purchased the car.

    Best regards
