    Re: Consolidation Loan / Wedding

My opinion is that you should deal with your existing debts before taking on any more.

    Consolidation Loan / Wedding

    Hi,

I have around £7.5k in CC debt and would like to consolidate and borrow a further £2-2.5K to use on my wedding. I earn £30k and have a excellent/good credit rating and never had any issue with sevicing my debt. I would like to borrow a total of £10k and pay it off in 3.5 years. Questions:

How long should I hold off to apply for a loan given the rate cut yesterday?

I'm keen to get going soon. How likely is it that I will be approved for this loan given the current conditions.

The AA look to be the best deal although YourPersonalLoan.co.uk are offering a 7.8% deal with no holiday periods. I'm a little hesitant to apply for the AA loan as I live in a mortgaged flat that does not appear to be recognised by the AA application process - it only asks for a house number and not a flat position.

    Please advise on above points.

    Thanks.
