Now that you have complained and reached stalemate, you are entitled to complain to the insurance ombudsman at the FOS below, who will look into their unreasonable treatment and unfair failure to have sorted this problem out within a reasonable time.

I was involved in an accident where a guy rear ended me on the M6 motorway when I was stationary. This was on the 23rd August 2008, and although I know it took the guy over 5 weeks to accept responsibility (even though he didnt have a leg to stand on) I still havnt received a payout. My insurance company passed it on to a third party as I needed a replacement car there and then for work and they have been good to a certain extent, but on getting the payout theyve been terrible. The only thing I get off them is "the third party handler isnt in" "the third party have lost the file" etc etc.

Does anyone have any info for me on how to speed it up or what I can do? Responsibility has been accepted on their behalf, the inspection has been done (over 3 weeks ago, still no results) and still excuses and no money.

I'm at my wits end, I'm going away until after Christmas as they fully know due to work, and I'm at a complete loss...please help!!!
