Re: Is My Energy Consumption Correct

10 units per day for electricity is not incredibly excessive - I would say that this is probably about right

We use an average of 5 or 6 units per day (3 bed semi - out during the day - same use of washing machine etc)

As for your gas - I assume that you have a reasonably modern combi boiler and you have got your thermostat set to 20 degrees and don't leave your heating on 24/7 ?

    Is My Energy Consumption Correct

We have duel fuel and we have just recorded our enery usage, which I believe is far too high. Hot water, heating and cooking are all done by gas. We have a class A fridge/freezer, tv, pc, lights and use my washing machine once per week (40 degree wash) . In a period of 40 days, we apparently consumed 439 units of electricity is this considered to be high.

Would be grateful for some advice.
