    Re: Manyoo - Salford quays

    Hi Falconetti,

Is that correct that solicitors told you that you will be getting nominal reservation fee back? Who are you solicitors? O'Rourke solicitors told me last year then trouble started that I shouldn't worry reservation fees are covered by insurance, but now changed story. The contract under clause 7 'Insurance' states that reservation fees is repayable back to buyer, I wonder if the sales agreement can be interpreted in more then one way, and obviously O'Rourke interprets it not in our favor now for some reason. I was wondering if you are with different solicitors or you were told differently.
    Please let me know.

P.S. to whom it may be of interest

Exchange bond; it is not covered by Zurich insurance, but because ExchangeBond Co was authorized by FSA, it is possible to reclaim it via financial services compensation scheme http://www.fscs.org.uk/what-we-cover/products/insurance/; since premium on bond was paid till 2011 and insurer bankrupted in 2009, 2 years worth of premium will be compensated. I have already submitted my claim form, was told it will take up to 6 months to receive compensation.

    Re: Manyoo - Salford quays

    hi,

is there anyone out there that would have any idea of an approximate length of time it takes from administration to liquidation. even in regard to other projects that have gone pear shaped. this has been a long slog but not one that we want to see drag on for months, hence the question

    Re: Manyoo - Salford quays

I'm sure that initially the letter frightened a few investors but I have clarified with solicitor.

The £1000 reservation fee is not covered by Zurich insurance, and with the way things work we can pretty much kiss this goodbye.

Any stage deposits paid in addition are covered by Zurich insurance but this only triggers on LLP going into liquidation (they are not there yet)

Additionally I believe that anyone who paid deposits through bond will not be covered by Zurich insurance at all.

    Hi There

did anyone else got a leeter from o'rourke reid yesterday stated that we will get a nominal amount of reservation fees back as there is a lot of others standing in a queue to collect money and they have priority over us! i was asking if they mean a nominal fee of the whole deposit or the 1000 pound or so reservation fee? does anyone have clarity on this? somehow I think we are going to be out of pocket. if I get answers I will post it here soon.

Not quite there yet... we still need the LLP to go into liquidation before we can finally say this sorry saga is well and truly over.

    Hi,

I have also been told claim form is in the post to get deposits back but anyone who has paid by Bond Insurance will have no monies returned but released from the contract.

Great news the finishing line is in sight.

    All the Best everyone.

    Hi,

Who are you using for your Solicitor, I use to have Goodloves but they dumped me and a few others as well. Say it would be a conflict of interest and they were representing Lightfoots. Goodloves are not that Good and do not Love the clients for long. Zero out of ten for Goodloves solicitors of Leeds.

    Regards Mark

    hi there

the manyoo developers have also gone into administration last week - I contacted my solicitor this morning and she has send me a claim form to get my deposit back. I am sure all of you have that info from your solicitors by now. Good luck - it is really good news.

    Hi,

Do you know if there is an action group that I can join so that I may share the burden of trying to recover my deposit?

    Kind regards Mark

Yeah - I agree unfortunately we have to play the waiting game - I don't see any building happening in the current financial market.
