    Re: Travel insurance advice needed

Until the rules change at the end of the year, as mentioned by Purple Viking, companies can still include pregnancy exclusions on their policy. From January you should be able to purchase cover that does not automatically exclude you just because you are pregnant.

In the meantime you have the choice of finding a policy that best suits your needs accepting that there is no cover available in respect of anything related to the pregnancy and then buy a further policy in January. Alternatively you could hold off on purchasing cover until January taking the risk of cancellation and loss of your holiday deposit whilst waiting for the rules to change.

    Hope this helps.

When are you travelling? The reason I ask is that by the end of the year, the type of barrier your facing will be removed thanks to the EU Gender Directive. There may still be restrictions e.g. not travelling against medical and/or carrier advice but by the sound of it you've got those bits covered. They're also only likely to pick up expenses arising from a pre-mature birth i.e. if you go into "normal labour" you won't be covered.

    Travel insurance advice needed

I booked a holiday to Tunisia a little while ago, I have just found out that I am pregnant and will be 33 weeks gone on return home my doctor and airline have said that all being well and as long as I have a medical certificate I will be able to fly and enjoy my holiday, however I cannot find any companies who are willing to insure me due to how far along I will be on my return. Can anyone help or does anyone have any tips please, I cant change the date of the holiday as its for my mothers birthday.

    Regards
