    Re: credit file and defaults

Good plan. Be sure to take copies of everything that relates to the 2003 default.

    Re: credit file and defaults

Good question - also one for debtline I'm afraid.

It really does depend on the circumstances.

If you breached the terms of your bankruptcy then certainly, I would imagine.

At the point they put the default on your report, did they issue you with a default notice? If they didn't then I don't think they can.

If your credit report is wrong, you have the right to have it corrected.

one thing that I need to know

can a bank put a default on your file 3 years after the debt was included in your insolvency?

    Re: credit file and defaults

Sorry - noticed nobody has replied yet. I think this is quite a specialist question and the answer might depend on the circumstances of the actions in question.

My suggestion would be to phone debtline on Monday and talk to somebody who really knows exactly what they're doing.

    credit file and defaults

made bankrupt in 2000 and thought after 8 years would have no defaults from it,however RBS put on one in 2003 for one of it's debts from said bankrupcy.

    can they do this?

should file show partial settlement after discharge?

    thanks for any help
