    Re: Best home Broadband

www.nildram.net - you are tied to a one month notice contract and the speed is as good as any of them

"Lite" - 25Gb for £14.50 - they are extremely professional despite being part of the Pipex group

You get 500 minutes / month (24/7) of national phone calls free as well

25Gb is more than enough for most people - unless you are a multiple PC business ??

Any more - you pay £1.98 per 2Gb - but to be honest - I rarely reach 10Gb / Month

I have been with them for 5 years and they have always treated me well

    Best home Broadband

Hi, I have to say this website is fantastic, but I'm still hoping for some help choosing a broadband provider. There is just so much choice out there, I'm stuck! It doesn't have to be the absolute PERFECT one, I'm just worried I'll choose a dud and then be stuck with them.

We have just moved to a new flat and our BT land line connection will be activated by 8pm on Friday 17.10 at the latest. I want to be up and running with a broadband provider as soon as possible.

Contract: We may leave the UK in 12 months. Therefore I want a 12 mth contract. Alternatively I could take an 18mth contract if it was cheap enough and just pay the 6 months extra if we did leave in a year.

Price: If I have to I'll pay up to £20-25 a mth including landline rental. (We are already stuck in an 18 mth contract at £15 mth for a THREE mobile broadband dongle which is useless and does not work, so I'm keen to keep costs down)

Requirements: 40GB or unlimited download cap (don't want any surprises). I want speed. We probably browse 2-4 hours everyday, more in the weekend, and occaisionally we both may work from home, which means we'd be online most of the day. Need to be able to email and send files, share photos, watch video online and download music.

I don't have any current cellphone company alliance. And I really just want broadband. I don't need a bundle of services unless it makes it cheaper than just getting broadband.

I would be so grateful for some suggestions or advice before I take the plunge!

    All the best, Jenny
