    Re: need car finance desperately

    hi ya bud,

PLEASE - DONT USE CAR CRAFT / UCAN / WELCOME FINANCE... IF YOU DO SEARCH THE INTERNET FIRST....

the amount of bad posts about them... its rediculous... i purchased a vauxhall meriva 05 from them, nothing but trouble since the day i bought it. and that was two ,months ago now.

I owned a L reg corsa for six months cost me 300 quid. [which i got the cash off my credit card - about 23% APR]

i had to get it MOT'd, and buy tax, and a fan belt done... other than that... it was a good car... why the hell i got rid i dont know now... if you can only afford an old car, get that... i got rid of my corsa for 200 quid trade in, my partner sold hers for about 200 quid (even tho she had just had the clutch n gearbox done for about 370 on it).. some people sell good cars for next to no money... they just want rid for less hassle (aka road tax / insurance etc)... BUT: THERE ARE BACK STREET DEALERSHIPS WITH GUARENTEED FINANCE! take a look at them. - or contact finance companies directly.

    - marsh finance have a sub dept called all in one finance... they look at incomings and outgoings as well as credit history. if you can proove you can pay., then they mite accept... how else would car craft guarentee you... :) - after all thats who they use

Could you not ask your work for a loan then them take it out your wage monthly? I know not all work places do this but some do.

A friend of mine went to Welcome Finance and because he was late with one payment due to an error on Welcomes behalf he had bailiffs calling, car clamped n was threatened to have his house reposessed.

cheers people, but it looks like the situation is getting that bad, thinking of w/f a friend used them and he seems quite happy with the deal he got.

but he also said he'd walked into it eyes open and knowing he was gonna get stung.

    Re: need car finance desperately

hi chopper, we had the same problem. couldnt get finance and when we could they wanted silly amount of deposit!

what we do now is rent a car, we pay £65 a week for a 2001 reg nissan micra-not the best of cars, but very very cheap on petrol! that £65 includes insurance, taz, mots, services, breakdown cover from the AA, everything except petrol! the dont want a deposit, just credit card details

we had a 2001 BMW b4 this car, and was paying £150-£200 a week just for petrol!!!

we had alot of bills at the time, so couldnt afford to keep paying for the BMW so got rid. but we have found this is the best option, this way you dont have to pay for anything, only the excess if you crash, but thats the same as any car! plus you get a curtesy car if something does go wrong with it!

well worth the money i think!

    Re: need car finance desperately

Hi chopper -- Please don't get sucked into the carcraft or WF car finance trap even if you do get accepted, or you may find that your job is no longer worth doing, honestly your better off saving as much as possible and bidding on a cheap car with service history from ebay.

If you aren't confident then take a mechanic friend or pay one to inspect the car before you accept and pay for it. !

    need car finance desperately

hi all, my car is knackered, it still runs but thats about it.

i have bad credit history ccjs the works, but i need a car and i'm skint and can only afford 40 quid a week.

heard lots of bad stories about carcraft and welcome finance but am going to be forced into trying them if no one hear has any better advice to give.

i have had to take my last 2 weeks holiday from work cause i cant get there. what do i do, i love my job.

if i get the sack for not being able to get there, debts will spiral out of control, once again what can i do please help.
