    Re: storage heaters

It's called "Stored Heat" because the heating be it water heating or room heating is the only thing running on it. I have a seperate consumer unit with my heaters on. It's not economy 7. In my case with southern electric, it's called 'Superdeal' for whom it is super, I'm not sure, them I think. LOL

    Twee:

    Who is your supplier ?

This is not storage heaters - if you are on economy 7 - you have 7 hours of cheap rate electricity overnight - which, I presume would be the "NIGHT" reading - what Stored heat is, is beyond me - I don't think that economy 7 can differentiate between different uses of electricity - I think that ALL your useage between hours of 10 pm and 5 am are economy 7 - so why it would be called Stored HEAT is strange....

I suggest that you ask your supplier

I believe the water immersion heater could be clocking up some points for you. Check in your airing cupboard. Mine has two switches, one for the normal electric and one for the economy rate of electric. I have both switch off and just turn on as needed as I hate wasting money LOL

    Re: storage heaters

On the bill we are on an 'Economy 10' plan and have three readings, Day, Night and Stored Heat.

I was just wondering what appliances in our flat add to and clock up Stored Heat units of electricity.

I hope that makes my query a bit clearer.

    Re: storage heaters

You will have to explain better than that - "stored heat" ?

I assume that you are simply querying the size of the bill ?

    storage heaters

I have just received my first electricity bill and wonder why any stored heat has been used as none of the storage heaters have been switched on since we move into the flat. Why would we be using stored heat if these are all switched off?
