I have been trying now since my broadband date which was 22nd jan to access the talk talk site and whenever i enter my username and password it comes back invalid.so I have done the usual un and reistalling the wireless modem I bought from carphone warehouse, i have made umpteen calls for support and just get a discontinued tone and untill 2day i cudn`t get on the internet, so i decided to go to system restore and went back to august when i was on the internet with aol and since doing that I cant access talktalk but i am now online i am using msm as my home page. i rang customer support this afternoon and there was a real person on the other end and without me saying a word he said and I quote "madam the problem isnt what you think our tools are down and things shud be back to normal shortly.MMM Whats normal!! anyway I nowfind I dont need to have talktalk for my e-mail and can happily surf without them. I am not the sharpest knife in the draw when it comes to computers god help anyone who is starting there computer experience with talktalk,most will give up for life I`m sure xx

Talk Talk IS Carphone Warehouse - and they're both shining examples of the Zenith of crapdom that the service industry has become in the UK.

Carphone Warehouse should stick to what it is good at - sorry forgot for a moment there. They're not good at anything except winding customers up to the point of complete frustration.

Talk Talk is over-advertised, over subscribed and under-performs. Old adagaes usually have a sound basis and the one that says: "There is no such thing as a free lunch" says it all. If you really want to see what is worth having, look at what small business uses and you will usually find good service and good prices - cheapest is rarely best.

I too have had the poor service provided by talk talk ,wait 7 months to be connected,promised up to 8meg and got worse than half a meg ! i know that it also depends on your line so did an on line test max was 2meg complain and now nearly 10 months it` seems ok
"touch wood" i have ocassinal probs but nothing a reinstall of modem dosen`t solve! MY ADVISE IS SIMPLE : WHEN U GET YOUR MAC CODE FROM YOUR OLD PROVIDER TAKE IT AND ANY PROBLEMS TO A CARPHONE WARE HOUSE STORE! I MUST HAVE GIVEN 4 DIFFERENT MAC CODES OVER THE PHONE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AT TALK TALK IS APPOLLING AND THAT IS BEING GENEROUS BUT I HAD THE COMPLETE OPPERSITE AT CARPHONE WAREHOUSE THEY SORTED OUT MY ISSUES OVER THE PHONE (THERE BILL) THEN GOT A TALK TALK MANAGER TO CALL ME BACK! (THERE BILL)AND WITHEN 3 WEEKS I HAD MY BROARDBAND UP AND RUNNING!HONEST CAN`T STRESS ENOUGH HOW MUCH THIS ADVICE WOULD HAVE HELPED ME IT COULD HAVE SAVED ME HOURS POSS DAYS ON THE PHONE MAYBE I WOULDN`T BE BALD!!!!!!!!! IF I HAD DONE THIS PLEASE JUST TRY GOING THE TELL THEM POLITLY HOW BAD ITS BEEN MAKE SURE YOU PHONE YOUR OLD BROAD BAND AND GET YOUR MAC CODE IF YOU HAVE ONE ALREADY THE HAVE A TIME LIMIT! I THINK 6 WEEKS MAYBE LESS I HAD LOTS OF TROUBLE WITH THE USELESS CUSTOMER SERIVCES LOSSING THEM OTHER AND OTHER AGAIN! HOPE THIS HELPED. I WENT TO CARPHONE WARE HOUSE IN LEEDS JN 32 OF M62 OUTLET THEY WERE GR8 HONEST! ANTONY
