    Loan Advice / Credit Scoring

    Hi,

I am not too sure what our cedit rating is at at the moment. We want to apply for a joint loan from our bank. Does the our credit score determine how much the bank are willing to lend us. We do not want to apply for a loan to get turned down as we know this also appears on our credit file. Also should the person with the highest credit score be the 1st person named on thje joint application or does this matter?

    Thank you for your replies

Re: Loan Advice / Credit Scoring

Get your credit report from experian and equifax. You can pay 5.95 online to see what your credit score is with Experian (or maybe the other one). Check the prices of both sites when it comes to getting your credit score.

Each lender uses their own criteria for scoring, there is no way of knowing what this criteria is, however if you get access to your file and score at least you will know whether its work attempting to apply.

    C
