Hi everyone this is my first post so please be nice :-)
My husband and I are currently looking into relocating back down to the north east from scotland. We have found a house we like but not sure on what to offer or what the housing market is doing at present.
The house is in a tiny hamlet with no shops, or local services and is a 2 bed terrace which needs up dating. It is on the market at £167000 and has been without offers for the 20 months its been for sale. I have checked mouse price which states this house is valued at £134,100 which is quite a difference.
The house owner is dead and it is being sold by her brother in law as inheritence. The last time a house sold in this area was december 2006 and the last time a terrace house sold there was september 2003 for £92000. At present there are 9 other houses for sale in this little village and none are moving. My husband thinks we should be cheeky and put in an offer of £80000. What do you think would be reasonable?
Where would I be able to find out about the house market, im all confused!!
