I live in a detachted house seperated into two two bedroom flats each with their own door and I occupy the top floor and would like to convert the loft. I applied for permission and was told that it would be fine as long as i paid the leaseholder £2500 plus paid all costs for someone of the leaseholders choice to check to work carried out. Is this right as I checked my lease agreement and it does say you have to have leaseholders permission but surely paying £2500 is not on as it said nothing about money??I can not afford to pay this but really need the extra room is there anyone who can give me advice please????
