    young male insurance

    Please can you help me I have been trying to find insurance for my son who will be 18 when passed his test, he has a daewoo matiz 800cc I have tried everything to bring down the price he has pass plus putting me on as a named driver keeping it garaged all the tips that I have seen, I do not want to front the vehicle as I dont agree with that, but the cheapest I have been able to find is £1300 for third party I just find this unbeliviable for a small car like the one he has, I understand the risk loading but just want to pay a reasonable amout can anybody help in any way, are there specilist out there, what can I do to bring this price down!

    It would appear that you have done everything right

    However it is an unfortunate fact that young men are a very bad risk for motor insurance - in fact many companies will not even quote!!

    £1300 is a great deal of money but it reflects the risk the insurers are taking

    Just try the insurance comparison sites - it may be that £1300 is the best you can get

    Hi,

    Have you tried Tesco Car insurance? If your not after much fancy cover they also do'Value' insurance.

    I have been with Tesco for 7 years since I was 17 and they seem to be the best for younger drivers.
