I bought a car recently and found out afterwards that the car was a Cat C damaged car that was repaired in 2004. The car has been completely repaired and drives very well with no indication of damage. It has been through the compulsory VOSA test to ensure it is roadworthy and has MOT's for the last 3 years so I know the car is safe but my current insurance company will not insure the car as it is registered as Cat C.

Do you have a list of insurance companies that will insure a Cat C car? I was told the premium would be the same but the write-off value of the car would be less than normal.
